It might have been the classic Ozzy Osbourne era of Black Sabbath that was inducted into the Hall of Fame, but thankfully Iommi and Butler have revived the Dio era of Sabbath with the creation of Heaven And Hell. Dio produced some stellar tunes while fronting Sabbath and his performance on Mob Rules might just be his best on tracks like the epic “The Sign of the Southern Cross”, “Slipping Away” and “Over and Over”. The cover art to this metallic masterpiece is some haunting artwork that leaves listeners wondering, “What lies behind the door emblazoned on the front cover?” The true sign of great cover art is when it makes you want to listen to the album. In this case the answer is a resounding “HELL YES” |
